Hi, everyone! My name is Xi. I joined the ScalAR Lab in February, 2018 as a post-doctoral researcher. I received my B.S. and Dipl.-Ing. degrees in mechanical engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany in 2010 and 2011, and my PhD degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University in 2018. My thesis is about “Control and Scheduling of Multiple Agents for Persistent Monitoring”.
I am currently working on coordinating a swarm of networked autonomous vehicles with limited communication range to perform large scale environmental monitoring. I am interested in the synchronous rendezvous of a large number of robots, and the information distribution and propagation through communication networks with intermittent connectivity. I also study the formation of mobile robot networks that can achieve resilient consensus in the presence of “faulty” nodes.
